脊髄損傷を罹患した動物の健康と福祉の向上を実現する為に、神経学、再生医学の研究に取り組んでいます。動物の脊髄再生に関する研究は、多岐に渡るアプローチが試みられていますが、特に細胞(幹細胞や成長因子)や生体材料を用いた新しい治療方法の開発に関する研究をしており、同時にバイオメカニクスを応用したリハビリテーションや新しいデバイス開発に関する研究を進めています。
